Biography
Aurora Rays, is a singer, songwriter and musician based in Birmingham (UK). She is doing a master in Jazz Music Performance with Glauco Venier & Alfonso Deidda in Udine (Italy).
In 2021 she got an unconditional offer to study at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire during her second and final year in master of music.
Aurora has collaborated with several high profile musicians, including: Andrew McClean (Mark Ronson, Grace Jones), Luca Colussi, Eliza G (The Voice of Italy), The Panicles, Jonah Hitchens and Mik. As well as this, she’s also been hired by several companies, including the American clothing company ‘Brooks Brothers’ and ‘Sisley’ to write music for their advertising teams.
Her first release of 2021 was entitled ‘even when’, a collaboration with singer-songwriter Mik.
Recent performance highlights have included JazzInsieme Festival, Valdobbiadenejazz Festival, Four Seasons Festival, Gajajazz Festival, Sofar Sounds, BBC Radio, Mr Wolfs Bristol, More than Jazz Festival, Vinitaly, Ronnie Scott’s and Sun & Sounds Festival.
Auroras Debut Album, ‘I live in my own world’ was released on the 26th of November 2021 with Iola and Tank of Music.
In 2021 she played her debut album at SCENES – USA.
In 2021 single “No Matter What The People Say” has been added to the Spotify’s playlist Fresh Finds: UK & Ireland.
Currently she’s collaborating as songwriter for an American all female band.
